Over audience’s demand, the makers of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain relaunched the show for its third season, yet again featuring Nakuul Mehta as Ram Kapoor and Disha Parmar as Priya. The show marks the return of the two famous characters after they quit the second of the show earlier this year, which was followed by a 20-year leap. Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 went on air on May 25 with a completely new plotline and features many new characters including Yuvraj aka Akkshith Sukhija who essays the character of Priya aka Pilu’s boyfriend.
For the unversed, Akkshith Sukhija was previously a part of the Dangal’s TV show Piya Abhimani in which he essayed the role of Agastya Shrivastav. In Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3, it looks like Yuvraj’s character hints towards him being an antagonist. When spoke to Akkshith about character he said, “The experience so far is amazing, story is pacy and the kind of scenes I am getting to do have so many variations. They showed me as a sincere guy and within four episodes I have taken a life changing decision so because of that I am getting to fully perform and give Yuvraj a whole new side, different moods and a little unique way of performing the scene so I am loving all of that.”
He went on to add, “I am always up to play a grey character and I got a chance to fulfill that desire with Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan. Also, after that many opportunities knocked my door, and the amazing feedback made me realize that I could do justice to the character of the antagonist as well. As an artist, one gets to learn a lot of different things and also, I enjoy every bit of it.”
Talking about Akkshith’s character in BALH 3, the actor essays the character of Yuvraj, an ambitious man who would do anything for money and power. While it is being shown that he is loving towards his college sweetheart Pilu aka Priya, he is also seen dating Ram’s business partner Alekha for his personal gains.
Sukhija concluded, “The character is in a different light in the start; as far as I know they will however, turn the character into negative image and that would be an another interesting mould to the story, also I am really privileged to be getting an opportunity to work with Ekta Kapoor’s production house. As an actor I would like to be more versatile playing different characters and imbibing those real vibes of the character within me I am eagerly waiting for such opportunities and this current role and also commitment to my work will definitely lead me to explore more interesting characters in future and entertain my fans to the fullest.”
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 premiered on May 25 on Sony Entertainment television.
